Alloy Concepts
As part of our professional development and thought leadership programme, we carry out a number of speculative projects every year. We use these to improve our expertise, provoke industry thinking, explore new technologies and inspire our designers to take on new challenges.
Couple-IT
Unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2008, Couple-IT is a concept that demonstrates a novel way for operators to optimise the usability and mobility of high value services. Couple-IT consists of two complementary mobile devices and a supporting network infrastructure, intrinsically connected to act as one. Their behaviour is synchronised through common access to a shared internet portal, bringing true meaning to convergence.

SoundSpace
Designed in response to the RNID/Blueprint HearWear challenge to rethink the hearing aid, TheAlloy’s SoundSpace offers a range of desirable designs that appeal to consumers well beyond those with hearing impairment. SoundSpace results from rethinking the way hearing products fit inside the ear, making them more accessible and fashionable. Personal SoundSpaces are created using simple controllers to manage inputs from mobile phones, music players and other audio sources.
